Praying in the Kingdom

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Thy Kingdom Come

We continue to pray for God’s Kingdom to come in Glasgow.  We continue pray for those who have recently become Christians.  We pray that God will guide them, and empower them through and by His Spirit.
We pray that Glasgow will be won for the kingdom through the preaching of the word and the praising of His name.  We pray that Glasgow does flourish, but through the blessings of God rather than the endeavours of men.

We pray that God will raise up leaders in the Church in Glasgow who will speak boldly, and prophetically into the Church and the City.  We pray that Christians in the City will be filled with a Holy courage to speak out against injustice and poverty.
We pray for more.  We pray that we will see the power of Salvation in the City.

We pray that there is a real and tangible moving of the Spirit in our City.
We claim that God’s Kingdom will Come.

We pray that souls will be won for the Kingdom, and that we will rejoice with the angels as men and women, boys and girls turn to God as their saviour.
We pray for protection over the Christians of the City as they speak out in boldness, and step out in faith for the sake of the Gospel.  We claim the victory that is ours in the name of Jesus.

We pray that God will sweep through our City, and shine brightly in the darkest of places.  We pray that Christians will not be afraid to go to the darkest places and take the light of God with them.
We pray for forgiveness for not always being and doing what God has directed us to.  We pray for a renewed vision.  We pray for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit.

We pray for more.
Peace

We simply pray for the peace of God that passes all understanding to descend on our City, the Church and in our hearts.
The Word

We pray that God’s word becomes a reality for our City, and that Justice and Mercy will be evident in all areas of our society.
We pray that Christians in Glasgow will be God colours in their communities.

We pray that the churches will light in their communities.
Matthew 5:13-16 (MSG)

14-16"Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.
