Pray, pray & pray!

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Thy Kingdom Come

We pray for those who have recently become Christians.  We pray that God will guide them, and empower them through and by His Spirit.
We pray for more.  We pray that we will see the power of Salvation in the City.

We pray that there is a real and tangible moving of the Spirit in our City.
We claim that God’s Kingdom will Come.

We pray that souls will be won for the Kingdom, and that we will rejoice with the angels as men and women, boys and girls turn to God as their saviour.
Peace

We pray that as we have entered the 100 days of peace, that God’s peace will descend on our land.
We pray that in communities where there are problems with violence and anti-social behaviour that God’s peace will reign.

We pray that God will bring peace and unity to the Church in Glasgow, and open doors where they can work together.
We pray that Christians will be instruments of peace in the City.

We pray that the Olympics will pass peacefully, and that God will protect all those involved.
The Word

We pray that God’s word becomes a reality for our City, and that Justice and Mercy will be evident in all areas of our society.
We pray that Christians in Glasgow will be God colours in their communities.

We pray that the churches will light in their communities.
Zechariah 7:8-14
Amos 5:18-27
1 Corinthians 2:14
Matthew 5:13-16 (MSG)

14-16"Here's another way to put it: You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.
