Consistency in Prayer - Prayer Topics

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

We ask God to protect the Church in the City of Glasgow.

We ask God to protect the ministers and leaders of every church in the City.

We pray for God’s guidance and wisdom, boldness and strength for ministers and leaders of churches in Glasgow that they will step out in faith for the Kingdom.

We pray for revival in our City.

We pray for a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit over and in our City.

We pray that we see men and women, boys and girls enter into a relationship with Jesus as their saviour.

We pray for the ministry of The Salvation Army in Anderston, especially for this Sunday as we hold our Advent Messy Church.  We pray that the message of the gospel will be clear, and that we pray that we see men and women, boys and girls come to faith this Sunday.

We pray for the building project, that the decisions that need to be taken are taken soon, and that building can commence as quickly as possible.

We pray for the community of Anderston, that God will continue to use The Salvation Army in ministry and in reaching out to our community.

We pray for protection for the corps (church) from the attacks of the evil one.  We claim the victory that is ours in Christ, that we will be bold in our vision, and even bolder in our faith that God will provide.

We pray for souls to be won for the kingdom, in the community of Anderston.

We pray for those in our community who are being brought under the influence of the spiritualist movement.   We pray that the light of God will shine brightly in their lives and hearts, and that they will be protected from the lies of the devil, and that they will know the truth of the love of God in their lives.  We pray for opportunities to be able to speak the gospel directly in their lives.

We pray for the work with the homeless and vulnerable in Glasgow.  We pray that God will bless those who minister to the homeless.  Grant them grace, mercy and love, and give them a renewed strength and hope as they minister God’s love to those that they meet.

God, thank you for taking the time to listen to our prayers.  Thank you for taking the time to answer them.  We pray that we will always seek your heart, and listen to your voice in our prayers.  Empower us by Your Spirit Lord, that we will pray without ceasing.  Protect us Father from becoming discouraged, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, because this is your kingdom, and for your glory and honour.

Amen.
