Prayer Topics

2 Chronicles 7:14
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

We pray for revival in our City.
We pray for a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit over and in our City.
We pray that we see men and women, boys and girls enter into a relationship with Jesus as their saviour.

We pray for the community of Anderston, that God will continue to use The Salvation Army in ministry and in reaching out to our community.
We pray for protection for the corps (church) from the attacks of the evil one.  We claim the victory that is ours in Christ, that we will be bold in our vision, and even bolder in our faith that God will provide.
We pray for souls to be won for the kingdom, in the community of Anderston.
We pray for those making the decisions about the building of our new church, that they will act with wisdom, and with speed.
We pray for Matt & Sarah, and the leadership team, as they continue to plan and to minister in the community.  We pray for protection.  We pray for God’s spirit to guide and lead them.  We pray for opportunities to share the gospel.  We pray for grace, mercy, tolerance, patience and love to be abounding in all we do.
We pray for the new building project.  We pray that God will impart the clear kingdom building vision to those who make important decisions in relation to the building project.  We pray that the building that God has designed will be the building that we build.  We give thanks for the leadership of The Salvation Army in the West of Scotland, for their passion and encouragement, and their commitment to kingdom building in Anderston.

We pray for the work with the homeless and vulnerable in Glasgow.  We pray that God will bless those who minister to the homeless.  Grant them grace, mercy and love, and give them a renewed strength and hope as they minister God’s love to those that they meet.
We pray for Matt as he ministers as chaplain to two of The Salvation Army lifehouse’s (hostels) in Glasgow.  We pray for kingdom opportunities, to speak about the love of Jesus, and that we see people come to know Christ for themselves in our centres.
We pray for The Salvation Army Lifehouse Alpha Holy Spirit Day.  We pray for God’s Spirit to move in power, and that those attending will be filled by the Spirit and that they will know God’s power at work in their lives.  We pray for souls to be won for the Kingdom.

God, thank you for taking the time to listen to our prayers.  Thank you for taking the time to answer them.  We pray that we will always seek your heart, and listen to your voice in our prayers.  Empower us by Your Spirit Lord, that we will pray without ceasing.  Protect us Father from becoming discouraged, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, because this is your kingdom, and for your glory and honour.

Amen.
